Artist Bio
Tanja Fleischmann is an art photographer. Her work is rooted in street and travel photography and driven by an ongoing search for beautiful light. Light functions as both a visual and symbolic element in her images, representing oneness and spiritual growth. Strong composition and a natural symbiosis of lines are fundamental to her practice and guide the way she constructs each frame.
Tanja seeks to capture moments that are simultaneously spontaneous and deliberately composed, revealing unexpected narratives within everyday life. Through these images, her perspective on modern society subtly emerges, translating observation into visual storytelling.
She works predominantly in black and white. For her, this is not only an aesthetic choice but a deeply personal one: it symbolizes the coming together of East and West. Born in East Germany and raised in the Netherlands, this duality has always been and remains at the core of her identity and artistic vision.
